Service Overview
Looking to sell
1. Create an account
2. Execute and return our agreement
Once your account is created, we’ll email a standard Seller Agreement.
3. Fill out and submit our listing form
We’ll send our confidential listing form— asking for just a few pieces of information.
4. That’s it—you’re done
We’ll assign your listing a unique identifier and make it live. We’ll reach out to make an intro when a buyer is interested.
Looking to buy
1. Create an account
2. Log in to view listings
Each listing will include a state location, dollar revenue, employee count, and primary type of practice.
3. Find a match
When interested in a listing, click a button to schedule a discovery call with us.
4. Get introduced to the seller
When you’re ready, we’ll make a mutual introduction for you and the seller to proceed.
Service pricing
> Selling
It is $49 per month to list your firm/practice. This fee is paid via credit card. If we are successful in introducing a buyer to you and a transaction occurs, we charge a reasonable success fee per the Seller Agreement.
> Buying
It is $49 per month to view listings for sale. This fee is paid via credit card. There is no contract, and you cease payment at any time. If we are successful in introducing a seller to you and a transaction occurs, we charge a reasonable success fee (paid by the seller).
About Us
John Schlegel
John has been in the executive search business since 1999, with a primary focus in Business Valuation and Forensic & Litigation Support. He founded Stonebridge Search in 2008 in Austin, TX. John partners with growth-minded firms and high caliber professionals in the BVFLS community – connecting them in mutually beneficial relationships that make businesses thrive.
Since 2012, John has been a member of The Pinnacle Society, the nation’s premier collective of search professionals, based on verifiable industry success, ethical standards, expertise, and experience. He earned a B.A. in Public Relations from the University of Oklahoma in 1996. He lives in Austin with his wife and four children.

Rod Burkert
In one way, shape, or form Rod has been performing business valuations since the late 1980s. In July 2000, Rod started Burkert Valuation Advisors in Philadelphia where he ran a "traditional” valuation practice for 10 years.
From 2010 to 2022 (12 years!), Rod traveled full-time throughout the US and Canada in an RV with his wife and dogs. When he saw the possibilities of a location-independent BVFLS practice, he started rbCOACHING to help others transform their firms.
Today, Rod is settled in Bisbee (for now!), AZ and focuses on his practice building coaching and this Transitions matchmaking service.
